Observatory Offices

Development of a small site in Lower Main Road, Observatory.
The site is situated in a heritage overlay protection zone, an area of dense low-rise urban fabric and various historical and industrial buildings as neighbors. This circumstance was an additional design challenge with regard to heritage permissions and preservation of the streetscape integrity.

The building incorporates 3 office/studio units, with a central courtyard acting as a ‘breathing’ space, conduit for services, light and vertical circulation as well as providing opportunities for greening.

Each office space has its own character, befitting of creative industries that are the occupants. Flexible general office space, with generous proportions.
